Ministers, DCs Assigned Celebrations Across J&K Distts
Srinagar :Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will preside over and take the salute at the main Independence Day function at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium, while Deputy CM Surinder Kumar Choudhary will lead the Jammu event.
According to a General Administration Department communique, Cabinet ministers Sakina Masood Itoo, Javid Rana, Javid Dar, and Satish Sharma will take salutes in Anantnag, Poonch, Baramulla, and Kathua, respectively. CM Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani will head the Kupwara function—marking his first time leading the event—while Deputy Commissioners will preside over the remaining 13 districts.
