JKPSC submits 67th Annual Report to LG; 1,152 selections made in 2025-26

Srinagar :The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) on Saturday submitted its 67th Annual Report (2025-26) to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhavan.
The report was presented by JKPSC Chairman Arun Kumar Choudhary, along with Commission members and senior officials.
According to the report, JKPSC made 1,152 selections against 1,263 referred posts, including recruitments to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), Police Service (JKPS), Accounts Service, Junior Judge posts and other gazetted positions. The Commission also held 29 Departmental Promotion Committee meetings, clearing 508 officers for promotion.
During the year, the Commission received 94,546 applications, conducted 52 written/preliminary examinations, two mains examinations, and introduced several reforms, including 100 per cent written examination-based recruitment, on-screen evaluation, and SMS alerts for candidates.
The Lieutenant Governor commended the Commission for improving transparency, efficiency and merit-based recruitment while accelerating the selection process.
