Smart Meters, Dumb Outages: Kashmir’s New Summer Vibe

Srinagar: Political civility in Kashmir has officially surrendered to absolute reality-TV chaos. In press briefings that resemble wild playground disputes, veteran politicians have abandoned policy debates in favor of trading toxic personal barbs. Instead of arguing over governance or public rights, party heads are busy resurrecting each other’s long-departed parents for live-streamed roasts. Social media feeds across X, Instagram, and Facebook have effectively turned into digital gladiatorial arenas where supporters unleash relentless meme wars over who insulted whose grandfather better.
The drama escalates rapidly whenever detentions, corruption allegations, or family nepotism enter the chat. Leaders theatrically weaponize public grievances, using accusations of power misuse simply to score viral points while promoting their own family dynasties. With every press conference descending into petty name-calling, citizens are left wondering if politicians require press secretaries or full-time anger-management coaches. At this rate, family trees may soon demand their own digital privacy rights just to survive the next campaign season!
