Srinagar, July 31: A Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police sustained a bullet injury after his service weapon accidentally went off in the Kokernaf area of south Kashmir on Friday, officials said
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cop suffered a gunshot wound to his foot and was immediately shifted to sub-district hospital Kokernag for initial treatment.
He said he was later referred to Government Medical College Anantnag for specialised medical treatment. The has been identified as Mohammad Altaf.
His condition is being monitored, while further details are awaited, the official added—(KNO)
