Wildlife Department restores safety in Ompora
Budgam| July, 21:The Wildlife Department has safely captured three leopards from Ompora in Budgam, bringing an end to a prolonged operation launched after repeated sightings in the area.
Two leopards were trapped during the intervening night of July 19-20, while another had been captured on June 21. Officials said a 24×7 Man-Animal Conflict Control Room remained operational for nearly three months to monitor leopard movement. The operation was carried out with support from the district administration and police, significantly reducing the threat to residents.
