Assets worth ₹1.5 Cr attached, six illegal structures demolished
Budgam: District Administration Budgam and Police arrested 87 drug peddlers, attached properties worth ₹1.5 crore and demolished six illegally constructed properties during the 100-day NashaMukt Jammu and Kashmir campaign.
Officials said 89 NDPS cases were registered while nine habitual offenders were booked under the PIT-NDPS Act. Authorities also suspended 47 pharmacy licences, sealed 30 unlicensed medical shops, cancelled three drug licences and destroyed illegal poppy and cannabis cultivation spread over 56 kanals. Deputy Commissioner Athar Aamir Khan said the campaign witnessed massive public participation through awareness programmes and assured that the crackdown on drug trafficking would continue.
