Srinagar: A delegation of students from the School of Law, University of Kashmir, and senior BJP leaders separately called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday to discuss issues concerning student welfare and flood relief.
According to an official statement, a delegation of law students from the University of Kashmir submitted a memorandum to the Lieutenant Governor highlighting various welfare-related issues concerning the student community.
In a separate meeting, former MLC and senior BJP leader Murtaza Ahmed Khan called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed relief and restoration measures in the flash flood-affected districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Meanwhile, Tawab Aijaz, BJP Youth District Secretary, Srinagar, also met the Lieutenant Governor. The details of the meeting were not disclosed, the statement said.
