DC emphasises effective use of PM Gati Shakti Portal for Integrated Planning,Infra Dev

B’gam :  A District-Level Capacity Building Workshop on the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP) was held Tuesday at Conference hall Budgam under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir khan.

The workshop, attended by representatives of all line departments, was organized to enhance awareness and strengthen the capacity of district officials on the effective utilization of the PM Gati Shakti portal for integrated planning, infrastructure development, and improved inter-departmental coordination.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the significance of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan in enabling data-driven planning and seamless coordination among departments for timely execution of developmental projects. He emphasized that effective use of the GIS-based digital platform would improve decision-making, reduce project delays, and ensure optimum utilization of available resources.

The DC directed all departments to obtain access to the PM Gati Shakti portal and ensure its effective use for planning, monitoring, and implementation of development projects. He also instructed departments to nominate suitable officials for the roles of Maker, Checker, and Approver to facilitate timely, accurate, and verified uploading of departmental data on the portal.

The PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, launched in October 2021, is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at strengthening integrated infrastructure planning through a GIS-based digital platform.

During the workshop, the technical team from the Industries & Commerce Department, the nodal department for implementation of the initiative, delivered detailed presentations on various components of the PM Gati Shakti portal. The sessions covered an overview of the National Master Plan, portal access procedures, live demonstration of portal functionalities, the Data Upload Management System (DUMS), analytical tools available on the platform, and the data management framework.

The participants actively interacted with the resource persons and discussed departmental requirements, operational challenges, and measures to strengthen the utilization of the PM Gati Shakti platform across the district.
