Ang : Police on Monday said that it has arrested a bootlegger from Punjab with illicit liquor.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that an i10 vehicle was intercepted during a routine checkpoint at Lazibal following which the driver, an Amritsar native currently residing in Srinagar, was found carrying 14 bottles of illicit liquor (Old Adventure and Royal Stag) without any valid transit permit or license. The vehicle has been seized and an Excise Act case registered. In its Statement Police appealed pepple to come forward with any information related to drug or liquor trafficking in their area.”
