DC Doda assesses restoration works in flood affected areas of Thathri

Doda : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Krishan Lal Saturday  visited the flood-affected areas of sub division Thathri to assess the ongoing restoration works following the recent heavy rains and flash floods.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Thathri and the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Thathri, inspected the affected locations, interacted with locals, reviewed the progress of restoration works and directed the concerned officers to expedite the process so that normalcy is restored at the earliest.

The DC instructed all concerned departments to remain on high alert and ensure the prompt restoration of essential services. He directed the officers to intensify relief and rehabilitation measures, clear blocked roads on priority, restore power and drinking water supply and provide all necessary assistance to the affected people without delay.

Emphasising the need for coordinated action, the Deputy Commissioner instructed field officers to maintain close surveillance of vulnerable areas, monitor the situation round the clock and ensure that public grievances are addressed promptly. He further directed the departments to work in close coordination so that all essential services are restored in the shortest possible time.

The Deputy Commissioner assured the affected residents that every possible effort is being made to restore normalcy at the earliest. He stated that the district administration is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to provide all necessary support and assistance to the affected population until complete normalcy restored.
