In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with the Deputy Commissioner, Doda, to assess the situation following the cloudburst in the Thathri region.

He said several houses and shops have suffered damage in the incident, but added that, fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

LG Sinha said he has directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure immediate relief and assistance to the affected families and speed up restoration work, particularly the clearance of NH-244 to restore normal movement.
