  1. Amarnath Yatra 2026 Begins: The annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra commenced with more than 12,000 devotees offering prayers at the Holy Cave Shrine on the opening day amid elaborate security and administrative arrangements.
  2. LG Flags Off First Batch Of Pilgrims: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of yatris from Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, wishing devotees a safe, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.
  3. NH-44 Gets Major Connectivity Boost: LG Manoj Sinha thanked PM Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari after the completion of the Ramsoo Viaduct and AT-03 Tunnel, describing them as key infrastructure projects that will ensure safer all-weather connectivity.
  4. CM Omar Reviews Shopian Development: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired a comprehensive review meeting in Shopian, assessed progress on development projects and government schemes, and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to balanced and equitable development across the district.
  5. ₹76 Cr Development Projects Dedicated To Shopian: The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for 13 development projects worth over ₹76 crore, covering roads, bridges, drinking water, horticulture, rural infrastructure and urban development.
  6. CM Pledges Time-Bound Development: Omar Abdullah directed officials to expedite pending works, closely monitor capital projects and address public issues raised by legislators, assuring that no injustice would be done to Shopian despite financial constraints. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu after the proposed closure of Srinagar Airport was suspended, saying the decision would provide major relief to travellers and the tourism sector.
