Srinagar: A series of delegations and public representatives met Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah separately on Saturday, raising issues related to tourism, education, public welfare and constituency development.
A delegation of the Janata Dal (United), led by its J&K President G.M. Shaheen, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed measures for promoting tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation also highlighted concerns of stakeholders associated with the tourism sector and sought attention to the welfare issues of daily wagers.
In a separate meeting, a delegation led by Shahnawaz Shafi, Principal of Spring Buds Educational Institute, Ompora Budgam, also met the Lieutenant Governor. Social activist Kamran Manzoor and author and astrologer Rehmatt Bashir separately called on the Lieutenant Governor.
