Srinagar : A delegation of Voluntary Medicare Society or VMS, Para Sports persons led by the Society’s Vice President Prof Masooda Yasin called on the Lieutenant Governor at Lok Bhavan today and discussed in detail the issues confronting Para Sports in the UT.
The sports persons included Coach, Shahid Raza, Insha Bashir, Captain of the Women’s Wheelchair Basket Ball team, Irshad Manzoor Bhat, International
wheelchair Basketball player and M Rafee Parray, manager of men’s and women’s teams. The delegation highlighted the problems confronting the para sports persons during their travel to outside destinations. The team also sought the intervention of the LG towards the development of VMS Campus. The LG promised the delegation that he would be shortly visiting the campus to assess the needs of the biggest facility for PwDs in the UT.
