DC Ramban reviews AMARNATH YATRA-2026 arrangements at Lamber Yatra Camp, Yatri Niwas Chanderkote

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Lamber Yatra Camp at Banihal and Yatri Niwas Chanderkote to review the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra 2026 and to assess the services being provided to the pilgri

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Arun Gupta; Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Varunjeet Singh Charak; Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Banihal, Mohammad NaseebBajraan; SDM Ramsoo, Sayed Mazahir Hussain Shah and other concerned officers.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a detailed inspection of the registration counters, RFID issuance facilities, accommodation arrangements, sanitation and cleanliness measures, drinking water supply, medical services, security deployment, power, traffic management, lighting and other essential facilities established for the pilgri

Reviewing the services and facilities in Yatra Camp, the DC stressed that every service must be delivered with the highest standards of quality, efficiency and responsiveness. He directed all officers to ensure that pilgrims receive prompt, courteous and hassle-free assistance at every service point.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the devotees and took firsthand feedback regarding the facilities and services available at the camp. He enquired about their travel experience, registration process, accommodation, sanitation, medical facilities, security arrangements and overall comfort during their stay.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to issue RFID cards only after proper verification of all prescribed documents.  He further instructed the officers to maintain continuous monitoring of all facilities and remain available round the clock to address any grievance or requirement of the pilgrims without delay.

The Deputy Commissioner called upon all stakeholder departments to work in close coordination, remain vigilant and ensure the timely delivery of every essential service so that pilgrims experience a smooth and spiritually fulfilling journey through district Ramban.
