Ganderbal, July 3: Six personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road near the Gagangir Tunnel in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday, officials said.

The accident took place when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road near the tunnel, they said.

The injured personnel were immediately rescued and given first aid at the scene before being shifted to a nearby hospital for specialised treatment, officials said.

The condition of the injured personnel was stated to be stable, they added.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while the exact cause of the accident is being ascertained.
