Jammu :The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) concluded the second phase of its Summer Internship Programme 2026, with 221 students from colleges across Jammu Division completing the programme across seven batches.
Of these, 181 students attended six batches at the JKEDI Regional Office, Bari Brahmana, while 40 students attended one batch at the District Centre, Jammu.
The programme was held under the guidance of Director JKEDI Mohammad Younis Malik and Joint Director JKEDI Chand Kishor Sharma.
The 10-day, 60-hour programme was organised in line with the National Education Policy 2020 to provide experiential learning, entrepreneurial exposure and skill development opportunities to undergraduate students.
Participants gained exposure to entrepreneurship development, startup promotion, innovation, business planning and institutional support mechanisms for aspiring entrepreneurs through interactive sessions, practical assignments and expert interactions.
JKEDI faculty members and resource persons served as trainers, mentors and batch coordinators, helping participants develop entrepreneurial competencies, leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
Participants represented institutions including Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar; SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu; and Government College for Women, Parade.
