DC Shopian reviews RDD developmental activities, Directs timely execution & effective monitoring

Shopian:   Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta Thursday chaired a review meeting to discuss various issues related to the functioning of the Rural Development Department and assess the progress of developmental activities being implemented across the district under various flagship government schemes.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of ongoing developmental works, implementation of government schemes, progress achieved under various flagship programmes and the overall functioning of field-level offices.

Special focus was laid on addressing operational and administrative issues affecting the smooth execution of departmental works.Various issues and concerns raised by the BDOs and Panchayat Secretaries were discussed in detail.

The DC directed the concerned to resolve the issues and ensure seamless implementation of developmental works.

Emphasizing the need for regular monitoring of works, the DC instructed all field staff and supervisory authorities

to discharge their duties with dedication and responsibility and ensure strict adherence to departmental guidelines viz a viz quality and durability of works.

He also directed that all completed and ongoing works be promptly uploaded on the designated online portals to facilitate effective monitoring and real time tracking of progress.

The DC directed the Block Development Officers to enhance person-days (PD) generation under MGNREGA and expedite the completion of all ongoing works in a time bound manner before the transition of the programme to VB-G RAM G.

Reviewing the pendency of works in different blocks, the DC called upon the officers to accelerate the pace of execution and achieve tangible progress on the ground.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Shopian, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ACD, Shopian, Muzaffar Ahmad; SDM Zainapora, Bilal Ahmad; BDOs and Panchayat Secretaries from all blocks of the district.
