Rafi Interacts with locals, reviews VVP Phase-II Progress

 

Baramulla| June, 17:Director, Libraries & Research, J&K, Mohammad Rafi, who is also the designated visiting officer for the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) Phase-II, Wednesday  visited the border villages of Trikanjan and Chotali in Uri Sub-Division to review the progress of developmental initiatives being implemented under the programme.

During the visit, he interacted with local residents, Public representatives, youth, women and other stakeholders to obtain first-hand feedback on developmental needs and the implementation of various government schemes. He also reviewed the status of ongoing works and assessed the availability of basic amenities and public services in the villages.

Speaking on the occasion, the visiting officer said that the primary objective of the Vibrant Villages Programme is to ensure the comprehensive and sustainable development of border villages by improving infrastructure, strengthening service delivery and creating better livelihood opportunities for the local population.

He emphasized that the programme aims to transform border villages into vibrant and self-reliant communities while enhancing the quality of life of residents.

He further stated that regular field visits and interactions with the public help the administration identify local priorities and address developmental gaps in a timely manner. He assured the villagers that their genuine concerns and suggestions would be conveyed to the concerned authorities for appropriate action.

The residents appreciated the outreach initiative and shared their views regarding infrastructure, connectivity, public services and other developmental requirements.

The visiting officer reiterated the Government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive growth and balanced development in the border areas under the Vibrant Villages Programme Phase-II.
