KVK Gurez organises Awareness-cum-Distribution Camp at Gujran, Tulail

Bandipora :Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai and instrumental support of Director Extension, Prof. Raihana Habib Kanth, KVK GurezTuesday organised an awareness-cum-distribution programme of organic inputs at Gujran, Tulail, the last village of Gurez Valley, as part of the ongoing national programme Khet Bachao Abhiyan.

During the programme, KVK Scientists Dr. Jauhar Rafeeq and Dr. Shahida Altaf sensitised farmers on biological approaches to insect pest management and measures for improving soil health.

Latest SKUAST-K developed technologies, biopesticides and biofertilisers were distributed among participating farmers.

The scientists also conducted field demonstrations to promote sustainable, eco-friendly and climate-resilient agricultural practices in the valley.

Farmers from different villages expressed gratitude to SKUAST-K for organising such innovative and farmer-centric programmes in the region.
