Srinagar :The Airports Authority of India-operated Srinagar International Airport celebrated Yatri Suvidha Diwas on Monday with enthusiasm, hosting a series of passenger-centric, cultural, and social activities aimed at enhancing public engagement and promoting community welfare.

The celebrations began with the rendition of VandeMataram, followed by a plantation drive conducted in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam, SSP Budgam, and other dignitaries.

Passengers and visitors actively participated in various attractions organised within the airport premises, including vibrant cultural performances in the Arrival Hall. An interactive selfie point highlighting government development initiatives and “Paint Your Ideas” canvas stations also drew enthusiastic participation, with passengers showcasing their creativity through paintings and sketches.

As part of the observance, a cleanliness drive was carried out to raise awareness about maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Health check-up camps for passengers and stakeholders, along with a blood donation camp, were also organised inside the terminal.

Interactive quiz sessions added to the festive atmosphere, with winners receiving prizes for their participation. The occasion also recognised the valuable contributions of women employees and other staff members whose dedicated efforts ensure the smooth functioning of airport operations.

A special highlight of the event was the visit of students from neighbouring schools, including specially-abled children, who were given an opportunity to explore and learn about the airport environment.

The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, making the event memorable and inspiring for passengers, staff, and visitors alike.
