Mattoo reviews security,coordination arrangements for Amarnath Yatra
Srinagar : In preparation for the Amarnath Yatra a comprehensive meeting was chaired by DIG South Kashmir Range, Javid Iqbal Matoo, in Pahalgam to review security arrangements and ensure effective coordination among various stakeholder agencies. The meeting was attended also by DIG of CRPF, Commander of 1 Sector Rashtriya Rifles, SSP Anantnag, and other senior officers from police and allied agencies.
The discussions during the meeting focused on several critical areas, including deployment plans, area domination, traffic management, emergency response mechanisms, and communication systems. Emphasis was placed on the importance of inter-agency coordination to maintain a high level of alertness and ensure the effective implementation of security measures along the Yatra route. Addressing the meeting DIG SKR highlighted the necessity for proactive policing, regular personnel briefings, and prompt responses to any emerging situations. Officers present provided updates on the arrangements made within their jurisdictions and expressed their commitment to cooperate fully for the successful conduct of the pilgrimage. DIG SKR expressed satisfaction with the preparedness measures taken thus far and urged all agencies to collaborate closely to guarantee a safe and hassle-free experience for the devotees. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the collective commitment of all security and civil agencies to ensure the successful execution of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
