Panel to monitor quality of food, services provided to move employees in Srinagar hotels

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a committee to monitor the quality of food and services being provided to move employees accommodated in hotels in Srinagar.
According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD the committee has been tasked with conducting inspections and overseeing standards at hotels housing move employees during the annual Darbar Move arrangement.
The panel will be headed by the Joint Controller, Legal Metrology Department, Kashmir.
Its members include the Deputy Director, Supplies, Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Kashmir, and the Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, Srinagar. The Deputy Director, Estates Department, Kashmir, will serve as the Member Secretary of the committee.
The order said the committee will monitor the quality of food and other services provided to move employees staying in hotels in Srinagar and ensure compliance with prescribed standards.
It has also been directed to submit a monthly report to the Estates Department detailing inspections carried out, complaints received and the action taken to address them.
The reports will form the basis for further action by the concerned authorities in accordance with existing rules and norms, the order said.
The government said the move is aimed at strengthening oversight of facilities provided to move employees and ensuring timely redressal of grievances related to accommodation and related services
