DC Kulgam distributes Motorized Tricycles among Persons with Disabilities

Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Monday distributed motorized tricycles among five persons with disabilities at the Mini-Secretariat, Kulgam.

The distribution camp was organized by the Social Welfare Department, Kulgam, as part of its ongoing efforts to empower persons with disabilities and enhance their mobility and independence.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of ensuring equal opportunities and dignity for persons with disabilities. He stated that the provision of assistive devices such as motorized tricycles not only improves mobility but also strengthens confidence, self-reliance, and social inclusion among beneficiaries.

District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kulgam, Rameez Ahmad, along with other concerned officials were present during the distribution programme.
