Reasi : As part of the ongoing ‘100 Day NashaMukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan’, the district administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, on Wednesday organised an anti-drug awareness Padyatra in Panchayat Maitra- to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, addiction-free society.

The awareness march witnessed active participation from Tehsildar Headquarters, Reejuta Mahajan, members of the Mahila Samiti, Community Monitoring Committee, local women leaders and residents of the area.

During the Padyatra, participants sensitized the public about the social, economic and health consequences of substance abuse and emphasized the importance of collective community action in preventing drug addiction, particularly among the youth. The participants also encouraged residents to support the administration’s efforts in creating a drug-free environment and to remain vigilant against the menace of narcotics.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment towards the vision of a Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir and highlighted the vital role of community participation, women-led initiatives and grassroots awareness campaigns in achieving this objective.

The district administration has intensified awareness activities across the district under the NashaMukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan and has called upon all sections of society to join hands in safeguarding future generations from the dangers of drug abuse.
