Awantipora, June 4: Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police Awantipora, in coordination with the civil administration, demolished an illegally constructed commercial property comprising two shops and a cowshed belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Nisar Ahmad Khanday S/o Ghulam Hassan Khanday, R/o Katipora, Chersoo.

The demolition was carried out in the presence of the Tehsildar Awantipora, other revenue officials, and police officers after following due legal procedures.

The accused has been involved in multiple NDPS cases and is a known offender involved in narcotics related activities.

The action reflects the firm resolve of Police Awantipora and the district administration to take stringent measures against drug peddlers and dismantle assets and infrastructure associated with narcotics related activities.

Police Awantipora remains committed to eradicating the drug menace and appeals to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information regarding drug trafficking and substance abuse.

The drive against drugs will continue with full determination under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.
