Anantnag: Police on Wednesday said that it has attached a two-storey residential house worth around ₹60 lakh belonging to a drug peddler in Anantnag under provisions of the NDPS Act.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the property, built on six marlas of land at Anchidora, belongs to Aasif Hussain Khan alias Soab Don, adding therein that the attachment was carried out under Section 68F of the NDPS Act . The action was initiated after the property was found to have been acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking. Officials said the action forms part of the ongoing crackdown on narcotics networks and their financial assets.
