Srinagar : The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several parts of Kashmir during the first half of June to facilitate maintenance and augmentation works on various transmission lines.
According to KPDCL, electricity supply will remain affected in several areas of Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara and Anantnag districts between June 2 and June 13. The affected areas include parts of downtown Srinagar, Bemina, Chanapora, Narbal, Magam, Kunzer, Pahalgam, Achabal, Ashajipora, Dialgam and several adjoining localities.
Most shutdowns will be observed between 9 am and 3 pm, while some areas will face interruptions until 3:30 pm. Major installations including hospitals, government offices, industrial units and residential areas are also expected to be affected during the scheduled maintenance period.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and has stated that the shutdowns are essential for ensuring reliable power infrastructure and uninterrupted electricity supply in the future.
