Srinagar : on the direction of of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Tehsildar Dragmulla, Syed Basharat Rasool Tuesday conducted a visit to the revered shrine of Hazrat Zeti Shah Wali Sahib (R.A) at Muqam Shahwali Anderhama to review the arrangements being put in place for the smooth observance of the annual Urs scheduled to be held on 30th and 31st May.
During the visit, the Tehsildar was accompanied by officials of various line departments including PDD, Jal Shakti, Wakf, Rural Development Department (RDD), FCS&CA, Fire & Emergency Services and other concerned departments.
A joint inspection was conducted to assess the preparedness and ensure adequate arrangements for the devotees expected to participate in the annual religious congregation.
On the occasion, the Tehsildar took stock of the overall preparations and issued necessary instructions to the concerned departments for ensuring uninterrupted power and drinking water supply, sanitation measures, availability of essential commodities, fire safety arrangements and other public conveniences for the smooth conduct of the Urs.
The concerned departments were directed to work in close coordination and ensure timely completion of all arrangements to facilitate devotees and ensure the peaceful and successful observance of the annual Urs.
