Samba : Under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, an interaction session was held today at the Conference Hall of District Hospital Samba with substance abuse patients registered at the Addiction Treatment Facility, DH Samba.
Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan presided over the programme and held a healthy discussion with the registered patients. During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to the experiences and treatment history of the patients. A proposal regarding rehabilitation was also put forth by the participants.
The Deputy Commissioner issued directions to the Incharge Mission YUVA and Incharge Industries to explore avenues for rehabilitating these patients through suitable employment generation schemes. The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the parents of substance abuse patients and discussed various aspects related to their recovery and rehabilitation.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vidhhi Bhatiyal appealed to the patients to take regular medicines from the ATF Centre established at DH Samba. She also urged them to motivate and refer more substance abuse affected individuals to the Centre so that they can receive treatment and care in a timely and effective manner.
The programme was organized under the supervision of Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Samba Dr. Mohinder Kumar Sharma.
