LG Sinha holds series of high-level meetings in Srinagar, Dashar Kumbh 2026 preparations reviewed

Srinagar: LG Manoj Sinha on Friday held a series of high-level meetings at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar, including interactions with the Department-Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, senior Army officials and representatives of religious organisations regarding preparations for Jammu & Kashmir Dashar Kumbh 2026.
The Department-Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, headed by Tiruchi Siva, called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed various issues during the interaction.
In a separate meeting, a delegation of Dharm Jagran SansthanDharmarth Trust Bharat led by Acharya Mahant Dr. Vivek Guru Ji met the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of arrangements and key issues related to the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Dashar Kumbh 2026 (Bod Dashar), scheduled to be held from July 15 to July 24 at the sacred confluence of the Sindh and Jhelum rivers in Shadipora.
The ten-day spiritual and cultural congregation is being jointly organised by the J&K Dashar Kumbh Parichalan Samiti, Pt. Premnath Shastri SanskritikShodhSansthan, Shadipora Kumbh Committee and Dharm Jagran SansthanDharmarth Trust Bharat.
Officials said the event marks the revival of an ancient spiritual and civilizational tradition of Jammu and Kashmir and is expected to witness participation of devotees, saints, scholars and spiritual leaders from across the country and abroad. Members of the organising committees were also present during the interaction.
Later, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai called on the Lieutenant Governor. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Balbir Singh. Senior officials discussed matters related to security and other key issues during the meeting.
