Anantnag : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested five alleged drug peddlers, including a wanted heroin supplier identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar alias “Christian” of Nanil Anantnag.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday that the said heroin supplier was apprehended during naka checking at Chechripora Bypass Crossing in Anantnag after attempting to flee from the spot. Heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession. In Uri, Baramulla one Faisal Ahmed Khan was arrested after recovering charas-like sticks concealed in corn husk from his possession at Zero MorhDaragutlian checkpoint. In Ganderbal, police intercepted a Scorpio vehicle at Dumkadal Chowk and arrested three persons identified as Jahingir Ahmad Jan alias Jana, Junaid Zahoor Bhat and Jahangir Ahmad Bhat after recovering heroin-like substance from their possession. The vehicle used in the alleged offence was also seized.
