Directs smooth ration distribution to Kashmiri and Jammu Migrants

Jammu : On the directions of the Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Jammu, a high-level departmental team conducted extensive surprise inspections of various Fair Price Shop Depots across Jammu, including Gangyal, Talab Tillo etc

The inspection team, comprising the Deputy Director (F&R), FCS&CA Department, the Assistant Director, FCS&CA Department, and the concerned Area Inspectors, closely monitored and evaluated the ongoing distribution process of monthly ration supplies allocated to Kashmiri and Jammu Migrants. To ensure that no eligible beneficiary faces any inconvenience, strict on-the-spot directives were issued to the field staff and distributors:

Stressing hassle-free distribution, the Area Inspectors and Fair Price Shop dealers were asked to maintain a smooth process. Strict Adherence to Scales was stressed. “Ration must be distributed to all eligible Kashmiri and Jammu Migrant beneficiaries strictly as per the existing government-approved scales,” the dealers were asked. The dealers were further directed to maintain prompt service hours and eliminate any unnecessary delays in supply disbursement.

Reaffirming its commitment to safeguard the welfare of all beneficiaries, the department has warned of strict punitive action against any laxity. Any instances of malpractice, denial of approved scales, or undue delay should be reported immediately to the office of the Assistant Director, FCS&CA Jammu for swift legal action.
