The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the proposed developmental framework for the current financial year. He directed the Block Development Officers to prepare the plans in consultation with all stakeholders, giving due priority to basic infrastructure and area-specific developmental requirements. He instructed the officers to include all SOS works in the plans and stressed the importance of adopting a grassroots-oriented approach to ensure equitable and effective development in rural areas.

Highlighting key priorities, the DC directed the officers to focus on the development of playfields, restoration and preservation of water bodies, strengthening educational infrastructure and execution of other projects based on local requirements. He emphasized that developmental planning should be practical, inclusive and aligned with the aspirations of the people.

Earlier, the Chief Planning Officer provided detailed guidance to the Block Development Officers regarding the preparation of developmental plans and urged them to ensure realistic projections, proper planning and effective utilization of available resources.

The Assistant Commissioner Development briefed the chair on pending works under MGNREGA and PMAY-G, besides the status of implementation of ongoing rural development initiatives.
