Budgam : Police on Friday said that it attached residential properties belonging to two drug peddlers in the Chadoora area of Budgam district.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that in the first case, a one-storey house valued at approximately ₹30 lakhs, owned by Ghulam Nabi Wani, was attached. This action is linked to Case FIR No. 181/2025, under the NDPS Act, following the recovery of over 300 kilograms of Poppy Husk from the property last year. During investigation the property was found to have been acquired through illegal proceeds from drug trafficking and was utilized for the storage and distribution of narcotics. In a separate operation, a two-storeyed house worth ₹50–55 lakhs, owned by Mohd Hashim Raina, was also attached. This property is associated with Case FIR No. 35/2026, under the NDPS Act, after more than 9 kilograms of a Charas-like substance were seized from a band saw mill during the investigation. In its statement police reiterated its commitment to eradicate drug-related issues and warned that stringent legal actions will persist against individuals involved in narcotics trafficking and related illegal activities.
