Bhaderwah :A Sub-Divisional bike rally was organised Thursday at Bhaderwah under the nationwide NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan with the aim of spreading awareness against drug abuse and promoting a healthy, addiction-free society.
The rally was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Administration Bhaderwah. Nearly 47 motorcycles participated enthusiastically in the awareness rally, carrying messages against drug addiction and encouraging youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The rally was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, along with Tehsildar Kamal Preet Singh, ARTO Kapil Deol, SDPO Naveed Shoket Qazi, SHO, police officials, civil administration officers and local participants.
The rally commenced from New Bus Stand and passed through Seri Bazar, Old Bus Stand, Pasri and College Link Road before concluding back at the New Bus Stand Bhaderwah.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials highlighted the importance of collective efforts in eradicating the menace of drug abuse from society and urged the youth to stay away from narcotics and contribute towards building a strong and progressive nation.
The participants also raised slogans promoting a drug-free society and awareness among the public during the rally.
