Poonch, May 12: An infiltration bid was foiled by the Army along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said.
According to an Army spokesperson, suspicious movement was detected around 300 metres inside own territory in the general area of Krishna Ghati along the LoC at around 4 PM during persistent surveillance operations.
The spokesperson said alert troops of the White Knight Corps swiftly responded to the movement and foiled the infiltration attempt, ensuring that there was no breach of the LoC.
“One intruder has been neutralised during the operation,” the spokesperson said.
He added that troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high state of operational readiness across the sector.
