Jammu: A soldier was killed as the armies of India and Pakistan on Saturday exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An army spokesman said that Pakistan Army initiated “unprovoked” firing on Indian Army posts in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri Saturday. “Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively,” he said.
“However, in the exchange of fire, Lance Naik Yogesh Muralidhar Bhadane, was grievously injured and succumbed to his injuries,” said the official.
Bhadane (28), belonged to Khalane district of Dhule district of Maharshtra. He is survived by his wife.
