Pulwama :Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Srinagar successfully concluded 02 days Range-level training programme on NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases at District Police Lines Srinagar conducted as part of ongoing capacity-building initiatives under the NashaMukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
A total of 40 Investigating Officers (IOs) from District Police Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal participated in the programme, with representation from various police stations across the three districts. The training was conducted in close coordination with the Prosecution, Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Srinagar unit. Subject matter experts from these sister agencies delivered comprehensive sessions, providing in-depth insights into effective and lawful handling of NDPS cases. Key aspects such as investigation procedures, legal provisions and best practices were thoroughly explained to enhance the professional competence of the participating officers.
The participants expressed their satisfaction for the training and requested that such capacity-building programmes be conducted in the future as well to further strengthen investigative capabilities. The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Shri MohdShafi, DySP (Admn) ADO RPHQ Srinagar, Shri Showkat Ahmed, Private Secretary to DIG CKR Srinagar, Inspector Irfan Ahmed, ASI Fayaz Ahmad and Head Constable Mohd Altaf, who played a significant role in ensuring smooth conduct of the training.
