Organises Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness rally
Poonch|May, 06: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), Poonch, continues its efforts to promote sports, youth engagement and social awareness, by organizing Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions across the district.
On the third day of competitions at Mandi Zone, held at the BSF Ground Rajpura, a vibrant and energetic sporting atmosphere was witnessed. The event, organized as part of the department’s annual activity calendar, aims to nurture young talent and strengthen grassroots-level sports development.
Students participated enthusiastically in Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Chess, Yoga and Athletics.
In addition, intramural activities were held across different zones with participation from boys and girls, reflecting inclusivity and widespread involvement in sports activities throughout the district.
At the Balakote Zone, the first day of Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions for Under-14 boys and girls witnessed an impressive participation of students.
A major highlight of the day was the mass awareness rally held under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The rally aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among youth and the general public.
