Srinagar : Multiple delegations, including a Union Minister, a Parliamentary panel, and representatives of the business community, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhavan here on Monday.
Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Anupriya Patel, met the Lieutenant Governor and discussed matters of mutual interest. She was accompanied by Ashish Singh Patel, Minister of Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
On the same day, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, headed by BhartruhariMahtab, also called on the Lieutenant Governor. The interaction focused on key financial and developmental aspects concerning the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir (ACCIK), led by its President Tariq Ghani, met the Lieutenant Governor and raised various issues pertaining to the business community. The delegation highlighted concerns related to trade and industry and sought necessary support for economic growth in the region.
The ACCIK delegation also congratulated the Lieutenant Governor for the ongoing NashaMukt Jammu and Kashmir campaign and the recent padyatra in Srinagar, appreciating the initiative aimed at building a drug-free society and safeguarding the future of youth.
