Srinagar: The Embassy of India in Tehran on Thursday issued a fresh advisory strongly urging Indian citizens to refrain from travelling to Iran amid continuing regional tensions and disruptions to air travel.
The advisory follows reports of limited resumption of flights between India and Iran but cautions that “airspace restrictions and operational uncertainties” persist, significantly affecting international flight operations to and from the country.
Reiterating earlier warnings, the embassy advised that Indian nationals should not travel to Iran by air or land until further notice.
In a more urgent directive, the embassy called upon Indian citizens currently residing in Iran to leave the country at the earliest. It recommended that departures be undertaken through designated land border routes and strictly in coordination with embassy authorities.
The embassy has released emergency contact numbers for Indian nationals requiring support: +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, and +989932179359. Assistance is also available via email at [email protected].
