Ganderbal, Apr 23: Ganderbal Police on Thursday conducted a mock drill at Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal to enhance preparedness for emergency and blackout situations, officials said.
The exercise aimed at familiarising students, staff and the public with coordinated response mechanisms during crises.
The drill simulated real-time scenarios to ensure effective coordination and prompt action in case of unforeseen contingencies, they said.
Teams from the civil administration, SDRF and Traffic Police also participated in the exercise, reflecting a coordinated approach to disaster management.
Officials said such initiatives are aimed at strengthening public awareness and ensuring readiness to handle emergency situations.
