Pulwama : Police on Saturday said that it has solved a timber theft case in Pulwama and arrested two accused persons involved in the crime.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that Police Station Litter received a complaint from Wood Venture regarding theft of poplar logs. A case under FIR No. 41/2026 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered and investigation initiated.
During investigation, police arrested Imtiyaz Ahmad Gorsee and Ishfaq Ahmad Gorsee, both residents of NagbalYousmarg, Budgam. On their disclosure, stolen poplar logs worth thousands of rupees were recovered. A goods carrier (JK18D-2556) used in the crime was also seized. Further investigation is underway.
