GGM Science College Organizes Two-Day French Language Workshop for BCA Students

Jammu :  GGM Science College in Jammu, in collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu, organized a two-day workshop on the French language for BCA Semester-II students.

The initiative aimed to enhance students’ foreign language skills, thereby improving their global employability in the technology sector. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh Gupta, the college principal, who emphasized the significance of multilingualism in the digital age and how proficiency in French can enhance career opportunities for IT professionals. Prof. Surinder Singh, Head of the Department of Computer Science, welcomed participants and highlighted the department’s commitment to offering skill-oriented programs that extend beyond traditional academic boundaries. The workshop featured technical sessions led by Dr. Deepika Dutta, a noted expert in the French language, who introduced students to essential aspects of French grammar, pronunciation, and professional communication. The interactive sessions included practical exercises designed to boost students’ confidence in conversational French. Prof. Suresh Singh expressed gratitude to the resource person, college administration, and faculty for their support, while Prof. Preeti Gupta, Prof. Ankush Raj, and Prof. Vippan Kumar contributed to the successful execution of the program.
