Director Agriculture Jammu (DAJ) Anil Gupta Saturday chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu.

The meeting reviewed the progress and status of the Digital Crop Survey (DCS), fertilizer reports and the Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) of the schemes being implemented by the department.

The meeting was attended by Regional Level SMS Krishan Kant Gupta; Deputy Director (Planning) Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar; Assistant Director Law Enforcement (ADLE) Jammu Kuldeep Singh; Chief Agriculture Officers of all districts of Jammu Division along with their respective Nodal Officers for DCS (through virtual mode) and officers from the Planning, DCS and CSS Sections, besides the In-charge Fertilizer Section.

A detailed review of the implementation status was undertaken, with a focus on addressing operational challenges and ensuring timely availability of inputs and reporting under various schemes.

Emphasis was laid on strengthening monitoring mechanisms and improving overall efficiency in scheme execution.

The Director Agriculture directed all Chief Agriculture Officers to update the actual ground-level fertilizer balance district-wise by the evening. He further instructed them to depute AEOs, JAEOs and AEAs to verify the availability of stocked fertilizers at the field level. He also directed that the prescribed Google Sheet format be duly filled and submitted to the Directorate within a day.

He further instructed officers to clear all pending verifications of units at the Kisan Sathi Output Tracking (KSOT). Stressing the importance of timely reporting, he directed all districts to submit the latest MPRs without delay and ensure that the targets under the Digital Crop Survey are achieved within the stipulated time frame.
