Divisional Level Mega Awareness Programme: Day 2 witnesses enthusiastic participation in Doda

DODA, APRIL 9: The second day of the ongoing Divisional Level Mega Awareness Programme featured a series of informative sessions and student-centric activities centered on key social and developmental themes.

The programme witnessed engaging technical sessions conducted by expert resource persons from various departments, generating awareness about Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Road Safety, Environmental Protection, Career Guidance and Mental Well-being.

Prominent speakers included Touseef Ahmed Zarger (TSO) from the Social Welfare Department, Diwan Singh Gouria, Forester from the Forest Department, Prof. Dr. Sandeep Kotwal from the Higher Education Department, Dr. Shazia Shakeel and Mohammad Faheem from the Health and Family Welfare Department and Farooq Ahmed Khateeb, DySP Traffic. The experts shared valuable insights and actively interacted with the audience, making the sessions both informative and impactful.

Adding vibrancy to the programme, a variety of student competitions were organized across different venues. A quiz competition was held at Town Hall Doda, while painting and essay writing competitions took place at Government Higher Secondary School (Girls) Doda.

The events witnessed enthusiastic participation, showcasing the creativity, awareness and talent of the students.

The concluding ceremony was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur, who highlighted the ill effects of drug abuse and emphasized the importance of road safety. He urged students to act as ambassadors of change and ensure that the message of the awareness programme reaches every corner of the district.

He was accompanied by Joint Director School Education (DKR), Mohammad Ashfaq and District Information Officer, Abhimanyu Singh. Also present on the occasion were Chief Education Officer Bhushan Kumar Pathak, District Education Planning Officer Dr. Anis Ahmed along with other officers of the School Education Department.

The participating students were awarded certificates of participation, while winners securing first, second and third positions in various competitions were felicitated with prizes, marking a fitting conclusion to the day’s events.
