Sopore : Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a theft case within 24 hours and arrested two accused besides recovering stolen property.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the case was registered at Police Station Tarzoo following a complaint by one Shabir Ahmad Wani of Krankshivan Sopore regarding burglary at his workshop in Putkha during the night of April 5/6. Stolen items included a genset and an oxygen cylinder. During investigation, Kaiser Ahmad Malik and Jehangir Ahmad Mir, both residents of Bangdaran Choora, were apprehended. They confessed to the crime, leading to recovery of stolen items. Further investigation is underway.
