No Shortage of LPG, Petrol, Diesel in Distt Kishtwar; Public urged not to panic

Kishtwar :The Kishtwar Administration has advised the public to refrain from unnecessary stocking as the district has adequate stocks of essential fuel including LPG and Petroleum products.

“The general public is informed that there is no shortage of LPG, petrol, or diesel in the district. There is adequate stock of LPG, which is more than the routine daily requirement. The petrol and diesel supplies are also sufficient to meet public demand,” an advisory issued by Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Shafqat Ali Keen stated.

Citizens have been advised not to panic or indulge in unnecessary stocking. The department has recently introduced reforms in the LPG distribution system to improve transparency and efficiency.

“Under the revised system, consumers are required to complete e-KYC verification of LPG connections, undertake online booking of LPG refills and use OTP-based authentication for delivery. Consumers can also opt for online payment and home delivery services” it reads.

It is further advised that all consumers ensure their mobile numbers are linked and updated with the LPG connections to avoid inconvenience.

For the convenience of the public, a dedicated control room has been established with officials available round the clock to address grievances related to LPG services including issues in e-KYC, booking or delivery.

Citizens have been advised to seek assistance through already circulated helpline numbers. The department is conducting inspections on a daily basis to monitor the supply position and curb any malpractices.

The general public has been requested to immediately report any instances of hoarding or black marketing so that strict legal action, including imposition of fines and registration of FIRs can be initiated against the violators.

The administration has reassured that the overall supply position in the district is stable and well under control. Cooperation from citizens is solicited in maintaining order and preventing the spread of misinformation.
