Kathua | April 03: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, on Friday chaired a meeting at the DC Office Complex to review Village Action Plans for six border villages under the Vibrant Village Programme–II.
The identified villages—Bobiya, Kadyala, Gajnal, Karol Krishna, Rathua and Gujjar Chack—are being developed to ensure 100% saturation of welfare schemes and bridge infrastructural gaps.
The DC directed all line departments to ensure full coverage of Centrally Sponsored Schemes so that no eligible beneficiary is left out. He emphasised inter-departmental convergence for optimal use of resources and avoiding duplication.
He further instructed officers to refine action plans to make them need-based, time-bound and outcome-oriented, with focus on improving infrastructure, livelihoods and basic services. Stressing last-mile delivery, he called for field verification, gap identification and regular monitoring.
